Green Nudges in Agriculture & Forestry Conference 2026

The second Green Nudges in Agriculture and Forestry Conference builds on the foundations established during the first edition, bringing together the latest scientific insights and early evidence from the ForestAgriGreenNudge case studies. The event will present initial outputs from Task 2.1 and mark the official launch of the ForestAgriGreenNudge Library, while outlining the next steps of the project.

The conference will take place on 21 May 2026 at the COPA-COGECA premises in Brussels, and is organised by ForestAgriGreenNudge in partnership with its sister project PRUDENT.

In the context of ongoing discussions on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the conference will examine how green nudges can function as evidence-based behavioural and policy instruments to support sustainability transitions in agriculture and forestry. It will provide a platform for exchange between researchers, policymakers, and European initiatives, fostering dialogue on the design, implementation, and scalability of such approaches.

A central objective of this edition is to strengthen collaboration across EU-funded projects and relevant stakeholders. In particular, the conference will deepen cooperation with the PRUDENT project and engage with other European initiatives working in related areas, with the aim of enhancing synergies and reinforcing policy-relevant impact at the European level.

The programme will combine scientific presentations with policy-oriented discussions, facilitating knowledge exchange and mutual learning. By bridging research and practice, the conference seeks to contribute to the development of more effective, behaviourally informed policy frameworks supporting sustainable agricultural and forestry systems.
